Maraiyoor Munnar

 Journey of Eleven Hearts

We began as eleven—

a small universe of laughter and luggage—

rolling out of beautiful Ooty,

where mist still clung to the morning like a gentle blessing.

The road to Coonoor curved softly,

tea gardens rising and falling like green waves,

each bend slowing us down,

as if the hills wanted us to notice… and stay.

Beyond the familiar, the journey deepened.

Through silent valleys and wild stretches

we reached Marayoor,

where ancient stones whispered stories

and sugarcane fields breathed a different time.

There, nature felt untouched—

raw, honest, and quietly powerful.

Then came Eravikulam,

where rolling grasslands met open skies,

and the mountains stood tall with quiet pride.

We walked gently, almost reverently,

as if not to disturb the rhythm of the Nilgiris’ soul.

Munnar welcomed us with endless tea estates—

neatly lined dreams brushed by cool winds.

Between sips of hot tea and shared smiles,

time slowed,

and the world felt kind again.

And then, the road led us back—

back to Ooty,

but not the same Ooty we had left behind.

We returned richer…

with tired feet, full hearts,

and memories stitched tightly between eleven souls.

Some journeys change places.

This one changed us.

Glorious Sun rise

💓

Standing by Avalanche Lake, I paused as the morning sun slowly pierced the freezing air. Golden rays spilled gently across the mist rising from the icy waters, turning the cold into something quietly magical. The mountains stood still and solemn, guarding the lake as if time itself had slowed.

With the chill biting deep and breath visible in the air, I felt an overwhelming calm—nature in its purest form, raw and honest. The silence was broken only by the software ripple of water and the whisper of wind. In that fleeting moment, framed by light and frost, the camera became more than a tool; it became a witness to solitude, resilience, and awe.

Avalanche Lake, bathed in dawn’s first glow, offered not just a view, but an experience—one where cold embraced warmth, and stillness spoke louder than words.
